OUR MISSION

At Forge Theater Labs, we believe that theater is a living, evolving art form—one that must be heated, reshaped, and reforged to remain vital.

OUR WORK IS forged in the fire of FREEDOM—the freedom to experiment, TO QUESTION CONVENTION, AND create BOLD, DYNAMIC theatrical experiences THAT REFLECT THE WORLD AROUND US.

Forge Theater Labs is proud to announce its next live episode taping for Season 1, "To Boldly Go," by John Patrick Bray, presented at University of Southern Maine’s Southworth Planetarium on May 20th at 7:00 PM.

In this immersive, one-night only radio play, Gamer Samus and Ancient Greek Philosopher Aristotle explore the merits and challenges of “Geek Theatre” when they are suddenly whisked into the future to help stop a war between AI and the last remaining humans.

Director Grace Kellar-Long shares this about the radio play, “To Boldly Go is a funny, zany, sci-fi adventure that is both Geek Theater itself and about the power of Geek Theater. Come for the Star Trek jokes and stay for the commentary on our relationships with theater, spectacle, and Artificial Intelligence.”

“To Boldy Go” is also sound designed and engineered by Cory Macgowan, with postproduction editing by Sam Rapaport. This episode features performances by Joshua N Hsu, Maya Williams, Sarabell Wrigley, and original live music by Portland Producer and Keyboardist Myles Kelley.
